time for an apology

I hope this is the best place to make this apology -- I figured it is the most often visited board. I want to apologize to everyone I offended, hurt, or just plain pissed off by my ratings of audio profiles. I got several private messages about my ratings and one individual started a topic regarding this subject in the bash boards, so I guess I pissed a lot of people off.

I don't think that I generally take things too seriously, but maybe I did take the opportunity to rate and review audio profiles seriously. I studied in college to be a teacher, and even though I am not a teacher now, I do tend to act like a teacher sometimes. I was trying to offer constructive criticism. In my opinion, an audio profile should be just what it says -- a profile where you talk about yourself and give us more information than you gave in the written profile. I don't have the equipment to make audio profiles or I would have made one for myself. But when I visit a site like this, I like to check out people's profiles to see if I have anything in common with any of the members, and some people didn't give much info about themselves in either the written profile or the audio profile. So I got a little carried away with the opportunity I had to rate and review.

The bottom line is, I'm sorry. I don't want to make enemies on this site. And before I decided to apologize, I did respond rather harshly to the post on the bash board and to a couple people via the private messages. So let me double apologize for losing my temper.

hey Catlover, i love cats too! haha! but I didn't say i was having a go at you, and neither I was. Maybe you were in my thoughts when I was writing that topic, but it wasn't just you. A few others were doing exactly the same thing which I personally didn't agree with. But it is only an opinion of mine. it was. Lol
friends? *shake hands*
P.S. I was actually wondering if you were a teacher? *grin*

Hi Catlover,
I didn't see the topic, so I don't know if i have the right to jump in or not, but I've decided to express myself anyway.
I always enjoy your posts, and I'm glad you're here, because I have more of a reason to reply, and I think mostly, you and I think alike. When I read a profile or listen to one, I'm thinking, how does this person respond to quicknotes if you send him/her one? Are they friendly and pleasant when someone sends them a quicknote greeting? or are they like, buzz off and don't bother me. When i read or listen to audio profiles, I'm looking for people who I not only have have some common interests, but folks who are gentle, pleasant, have a good sense of humor without having a mean sense of humor. I like the way you make a person feel that his or her post is important. Take care, and have a good day/night. Have a good evening all.
